Front axle damage salvageable?
Guys, what do you think? Can this be properly fixed? It's a '66 3 Gauge. Rest of the car is worthwhile.

That looks like a pretty solid hit - looks like there is some frame damage or perhaps that's just the angle of the photo. Other members should chime in.

Frame damage for sure. Anything is fixable, but the metal on these cars don't pull like modern cars and have a more tendency to tear instead of bend when repairing so might be a pain in the butt to fix. The main reason I haven't gotten one with a front end hit.

+2 anything is fixable. Question is have you done the math on repair panels? Can you do the repair? This will be much more expensive than buying a running 30k car.

Looks more like a parts car. Needs a whole front clip and firewall, floor pans straightened AND, the driver's door either isn't closed all the way or it needs a bunch of time on a frame rack too. |
