We attended Luft8 and it did not disappoint. Great selection of incredible cars, food trucks and music. Great to see friends and family. This event was the final bucket list item for this car. The car drove great for the 3 hour trek from Bakersfield to San Pedro Ca. Then the return home trip. I have to decide what’s next for this amazing build as it might be time for a new owner to take over. RRC.*

Jerry completed a few tuning adjustments for me. Running like champ!

We went through all the mechanicals in preparation for BAT.

DMV registration time again. I’m sure glad this car does not require a smog like my other cars.

I totally empathize with your statement. Years ago I bought a Prius for many reasons including exemption from Ca smog tests. That later changed as the state realized it was missing out on lots of $$ and began requiring Prius smog tests.
Also, I once owned a 912E which failed 6 tests over 3 days (used to call it “bouncing” to and from repair shop to tester.) With the help of a former Porsche factory mechanic, it finally passed. One week later, with a fresh certificate, I sold it vowing to never buy a post 1975 car again. Even today when a DMV envelope comes, I say a quick prayer that it’s for the 68 912.
