Yours is definitely a cool car. My car was at LUF in San Pedro also. I spent about 45 minutes with Emory's son in law. Actually he married like a week later. We looked at each others 2CAM4 912's. His has a Beck, and mine a Polopolus engine. He is a super nice young guy and very talented. The LUF experience was a good one. My wife and I are driving to the top of Pikes Peak Saturday with 19 other Porsches and their drivers and co-pilots. At 14,000 plus feet it could be sun, rain, or snow. Since we loose 3% of power in a NA car for each thousand of elevation, the car will loose 42% of power. 185 hp X.42=77 hp less. Almost down to a stock 912's power. If the weather is good I'll shoot some pictures.

My Engine rebuild was done by Competition Engineering Lake Isabella Ca.
Case is standard bore Crank standard Main bearings ( OEM Porsche ) Cam is a rally spec Rods balanced JE 96mm pistons 1720cc Cylinders 356 steel bored for 96mm pistons New pushrods and pushrod tubes. Heads reconditioned new guides, and valves, double springs Lightened flywheel balanced with pressure plate. New clutch disc. Full flow Oil bypass with filter. Carburetors reconditioned by 356 Carburetor Rescue. K & N air filters Aluminum oil cooler Original 022 distributor reconditioned with pertronix electronic ignition Electric Fuel pump with safety shut off Burch Exhaust with bung for O2 sensor with stock heater boxes Car dyno tested 98HP @ wheels. Engine approximately 125-135hp. |
