Another electric starting problem
the other day I went to start my teener, I try to start it at least every other week in the winter. and turning the key the first time it cranks but won't start, the second time the same. The third time nothing at all, have no electric anywhere in the car. Take the pos wire off the battery for a few seconds and when I reattach it the powers back. Go to start again and it turns the first time and again I lose electrical. Go thru the same process a third time and it finally starts. Whats could be shorting?

Clean the battery terminals very well. Clean the battery conection on the starter and grounding strap on the tranny and chassis. Then the engine should crank, as long as the battery has enough juice. Doesn't necessarily mean it will start.
