g50-01

looking to put a g50-01 short nose be hind a 964 3.8 in a 914 i know that the trans has to be flipped and i plan on using a cable shift set up. can any one tell me what else it entills. ? reventing , proper oiling , clutch problems ,starter issues etc thanks slammin

I was under the impression that you can't flip the ring and pinion on a G50. That's why people stick with a 915 or 930 trans.

i know thet you cant flip the center section you have to flip the whole trans thus the ?;s slammin

Yes, the whole transmission is flipped (starter on the bottom). Patrick Motorsports in Phoenix has done a few of these and I am sure you could call them to inquire on the process. I wasn't too long a go I stumbled onto some pictures of a g-50 in a 914.
