How much should I get for these?

I am selling my 2 porsches 914s. both are in bad shape. 1 is missing an engine. How much should I get for these? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?threadid=90963 <-- for pictures.

I got offered 500 dollars, and I guess I am going to take that since noone else has offered anything at all.

Scott,
I think $500 is a fair price. I bought my 71 914 for $525. All I had to do to it is change the fluids, change the fuel lines, paint it, and go through the brakes. It also needed tires. I'm currently painting it and installing my kirk racing cage. Theres a little tiny bit of rust in the longitudinal but not ebough it sags or anything. The rest of the car is in good shape. The seats need to be recovered and the dash has 3 cracks but thats about it. I got the car from an old audi/porsche/vw mechanic that just didnt want it because he had to many projects.

I'd say thats decent for around here in poor shape. Your also missing an engine. They look like they are probably good for parts cars. I had considered getting the one with the engine in it from you but I dont have the space(1-914, 3-924s, 1-rail buggy, and 1 dirt bike) or money. If the chassis arent rusted through they might be worth a little more. I have found several 914s in that shape around here where the chassis was rusted out for around $200 but were complete cars and the engines turned over but didnt run.

If you want more money for them.

First: Clean them up and give them a bath.

Second: take some new pictures of them after #1

Third: find out about them (look up the serial #'s & other info)

Didn't one of these have a snake living under it before? Does it come with the car?

I can't believe you still don't know what years they are. After following your thread from a few months ago there were two people that told you EXACTLY how to find out what years they were in less than a minute. You totally ignored there reply. Stick with your Acura, at least you know what year that is.

LOL! Oh man, I forgot about that!

I can't remember if we nailed the orange car's year... I can tell the silver is a '74....

I'd take the $500 and run... Hopefully they don't break in half on you while they are being loaded onto the trucks....

I have had afew more offers, I guess I might get alittle more. I think all 3 people who are interested are gonna strip both cars of parts, so if the frames do break, then i dont knwo if they will mind

I'll tell ya what. Sell them to the first guy that brings money and a tow truck. I've sold a couple non-running cars in the last year and while lots of people are interested only a select few seem to be able to get a car moved.
