Very nice indeed! The side profile shot is my favorite.

I assume those are fiberglass bumpers. Could you tell us where you purchased them?

Niiiiiice! 2.0L? I can see the badge faintly, but sometimes those are purposely inaccurate.... Is the engine as purty as the rest? (That was my subtle hint to please post some engine pics :D ).

Nice job Dale!

Biggy72 04-18-2003 10:39 AM

send some pics of the interior too. Boy that looks really good. I'm hopin mine turns out somethin like that but in black. I really like that yellow, its not too dark and its not too pale. Normally I don't like cars with painted sail panels unless the whole car's black, but with that yellow it looks right.

sammyg2 04-18-2003 10:58 AM

You got the color right, yellow porsches are faster.
What's the story on the rear view morrors?

mikeferg75 04-18-2003 12:51 PM

Yes please do tell more!!! Mirrors, Wheels, Engine, Brakes, ect ect, this car is too nice to leave out all the details...

I THINK YOU SHOULD SEND PICS TO THE FACTORY TO LOBBY THEM TO BRING BACK THE 914.BTW BMW AG IS GOING TO BUILD THE OLD STYLE MINI COOPER WITH FRONT DRIVE FOR THOSE WHO CAN`T AFFORD $20,000.PORSCHE NEDS TO APPEAL TO THE WORKING CLASS! JC

Mountain914 04-19-2003 11:24 AM

Great looking Ride, Dale !! You definitely got the color right (as sammyg2 said).
I, too, really like those side mirrors - give us the details !
And as Biggy 72 said - some inside pics! What kind of seats are those ?
(Obviously the test of your pictures worked!). We are all ears for more details! http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/ear.gif

jc9, check the caps lock. Unless you actually mean to be shouting every word you say.

Second, have you looked in at your local BMW dealer lately? You'll find a whole "MINI" (all caps, they insist on it) section.

I think the total yellow without the black makes the car profile smoother than with black rockers and valances. Great car cant wait for more info. Bernie

Very nice car Dale,

Didn't you know that yellow cars are faster! Ask mountain914. But not as fast as Ravenna Green.

Waiting for details . . .

Conrad W Peden 04-19-2003 07:21 PM

I gotta ask...

What are those wheels? diameter, width etc.

peter carroll 04-19-2003 07:48 PM

The old Mini's are front wheel drive. (at least when I changed the oil in my '59 this morning it was) Pete

I see the guy who owns this car never did follow up on any questions about the car, sure is a beauty.
