It is attached to the engine lid I believe. Pop that open, pull it off and put on the new one.
New rubber is readily available. If you’re talking about the window seal, different story. You’ll need to remove the seats and firewall interior bits that cover the firewall and cut away the seal between the glass and firewall with a razor. Clean the surfaces and put in a new rubberized mastic sealing strip, cut it to size, then reinstall the rear window. |

The lower window seal is, AFAIK, pressed into a channel on the firewall. If it is in good shape, you can probably pull it upward and out of the channel--but if it was in good shape, you probably wouldn't be replacing it...
I have not done this myself, but I believe the process is something like: - Pull the old seal out of the channel - Curse while discovering how much shredded seal is stuck in the channel (I suggest fake German swear words!) - Clean all of the leftover crap out of the channel, accompanied by more cursing - Push the lower part of the new seal into the channel --DD

Well, if you put enough "oomph" into it, and the words are made-up fake-Italian, it should work almost as well.

Use some glycerin or other lubricant to get that rubber seal to slip into the track. Sometimes just windex on the seal will work. You just need some type of lubricant so it goes into the track easier.
