The OEM ones are pretty much hen's teeth now.
The AA ones are the default metal option nowadays. I hear they aren't quite as good as the OEM ones, but they are a lot more affordable. There are a lot more fiberglass options. Quality varies immensely, and I'm not familiar with the details of each. Installation is very different from steel flares, of course, and can make or break everything. --DD

well that is too bad. We took an original green set from YEARS ago, scanned them in Detroit at the same company that scanned the GT 40 before they recreated it, and found the originals to be off side to side, so combined the programs and spit out exact mirror images side to side. We sell them to everyone and you can buy a set through Pelican here

There is a very bad story about the original restoration design, and first PB TWEEKS and then Automobile Atlanta being ripped off for their tooling and the Bill guy going to prison etc, and Brumos flare set being held as well. then the canadian restoration design bought him out and now have all of our tooling very very bad

AA steel flares do the job.
Some slight hammer dolly work required. Center the flares Create custom rocker covers afterwards Also F/R pieces for the valances |

I purchased mine over thirty years ago from a friend in the Porsche club. I believe them to be OEM from Porsche. They seem to be more bulbus than most I see today. Best, Mark

I purchased a set of factory fronts from Stoddard and a full set of the new Dansk flares.
I can't tell the difference between the factory vs the Dansk. They are also the same thickness and smooth edge unlike the wrinkled RD/AA set that I have. |
