No idea.
But I did see one of these in an MGB at Carlisle. It seems 914 guys aren't the only ones who get great power to weight ratios by installing V-8's!

The block itself weighs nothing! It's a really impressive piece of aluminum work.

Yeah, but the MG guys insist that theirs is a Rover V8. (Rover bought the design from Buick, ya see.) That's to keep it all-English, don't'y know.

I had the chance to pick up a 215 from a guy in Long Beach for $250.00. It was a complete motor ready to bolt in. I did some checking and found out that the parts are not that easy to come by, when you do find them, they are as expensive as Porsche parts, and the power rating stock was only 155 HP. To me it was hardly worth it. I would rather build a Porsche 6 conversion and at least have something worth something when I was done. The last 215 conversion I saw on Ebay went up twice and the buyers backed out so the guy parted the car out. Just my opinion.

Skyline,
The '63 215 4 barrel motor made 195HP. The turbocharged "Jetfire" version made 215HP. Not bad for a street motor in the early '60's. Andy |
