Where can I get a speedometer cable. This one is the one which connects to the transmission.

You can replace just the inner cable if the outer is okay. Usually the outer gets crimped and crunched and you need a whole cable. Speedo repair shops can supply inner cable priced by the foot.

I have the piece that broke off in my ashtray. It is a part of the inner. It might be easier to replace the inner because then I don't have to trace the whole assembly through the car. I heard that was fun.

you can have mine for free, just send me a few bucks for shipping. I'm parting my car out and I was just gonna toss it. I'm assuming I can just slide out the inner cable. I don't think it's worth pulling the casing out of the car.

I'll know for sure this weekend if the inner cable is good.

Hey Odie, you want to part with your outer door handles? Front and rear targa seals? Or any other parts that might fit on my '73?

I'm parting out the whole car ASAP. I got lots of stuff up on ebay already starting at a dirt cheap 9.99.

The outter door handles and some top & door seals are already posted at $9.99

I got one of the front taga seals listed too. It's the inside one where the metal windshield frame and sunvisor trim pad meet.

I'll have to check the condition of the real targa seal to see if it's still good.

Man, how did people find parts for their thirty-year-old sports cars before the internet? I love it!

I checked the rear targa seal. if it's the one attached under the top...trash. I couldn't even give it away free. will probably crumble as I take it off. If sammy's got a deal for you have at it.
