Exclamation Its official, I'm white trash!!!

I just got a love letter from the Vehicle Abatement department telling me officially that I am taking to damn long on my project. I guess tha the site of a car on jackstands with its ass up in the air and an engine on a board under it has finaly drawn some unwanted attentoin. It never fails! I just got my oil tank for my conversion and I can start in 3 weeks. The funny thing is that they didnt say anything about the 2 dissassembled porsches that were with in 6 feet of my car but were covered. I took my car down, changed the position a little, put a new cover on it, and put the engine in my shack. I figure that if they didnt ***** about the others then this should suffice.

What do you all think? It is in a gated, locked back yard and they would have to cut the lock and come in to check which one is which. I hope that this is enough. I may put some plastic stuff on my fence so no one can look inside except my neighbor to the side upstars.
Argggghhhh, I don't have time for this crap!

I feel for ya. Somethin similar happened to me several years ago. I had the city and a BI neighbor on my ass. I left 2 interior doors on the side of my garage, waiting for spring cleaning day when BFI (or whomever) picks everything up. It was only 1 1/2 weeks away. doors were down low on their sides, and barely noticeable from the streets. I called the city and explained to the BI, she said too bad move it or you will be cited...have you been out to see the situation in person? No, but I can imagine, I know your type....
...okay. ...

Few years later I called to complain about my neighbor's tenant's. Junked 1960 eyesore Chevy pick-up parked on the parkway. "Sorry sir, nothing we can do"

F-em all...new neighbors are cool. Their sprinkler spritz'd my truck the other moring...Hey Bob sorry about that, have it detailed and I'll pay for it....whaat? its only a little water dont sweat it....nope, we want to keep you as a good neighbor, get the Porsches detailed also, we'll pay...I guess there is balance in the universe...

I went around with the the city of colorado springs and the trailer we had parked out front of the house. got the second notice (laying in street) and the first (via mail) the same day. Called the code enforcement guy and fought with him about it deciede it would be better to put trailor in drive way but told the guy if i caught him on property doing his follow up inspection i would call cops on him and have him arrested for trespassing. never saw him come and do that inspection. and the thing is the city pays these guys 60 grand to drive a city car and cause hate and discontent. nice job. !

My experience was a visit by the code enforcement police. I was given 2 weeks to fix it / move it. Lexington's code basically says that if the car isn't tagged or complete, it must be hidden from all adjoining properties and all streets. Hard to do in a neighborhood. I rolled it into the garage for the winter. It sat in a garage for almost 1.5 years. Don't let it slow you down.

At least you got a 2 week notice! a buddy of mine who restores 356's has a neighbor who had a 914 sitting outside his house. The morro bay police are the lowest payed in the county, which i think is directly related to being ass holes. Anyways, a cop drove by and saw that the tags were expired, didn't even warn the guy, called the tow truck. My buddy saw that they were towing the car, called the owner, and got home just in time to pay $50 to get his car off the trailer! Here its not "to serve and protect", its "to harrass and neglect"

LOL, yep...cool neighbors. Even the "cat" problem ended. It seems that the cats that were pissing on the Fuchs and puking fur balls on the hoods, dissappeared. I guess one of my neighbors decided to take the cats for a ride to a large wilderness park in North Orange County. It was an urban, unofficial "Catch and Release" program. I guess its wonderful that we live in a society where the population has the critters' best interest in mind. The cats are now closer to nature and unharmed. The cats no longer have to concern themselves with the long-term residual effect of that awful pre-packaged store food. Plenty of sparrows, rats, etc (natural food sources) for them now. They may multiply to their hearts content. God Bless these amazing Civil Servants, every community should have some...

My neighbors are awesome...
