Looks like a 550/Lister love-child. Very cool looking, looks like a mid/rear engine and has 356/beatle wheels. Tell us more.

The title of the post is "Devin pics attempt #2". It's a Devin kit-car. (Or specialty-manufacturer-car, or what have you.) Remember the earlier posts about it? Search on "Devin" for Pete's earlier posts about the mechanicals and such.

The production run for the Devin D lasted for 4 years. It is estimated that they made approx. 200 of them. There were Panhard Devins, a Devin C which was Corvair powered, and the wonderful DevinSS. The SS had a Chevy 327 in front and a tubular frame in the late fifties. Inboard rear brakes and an independent rear made it a Ferrari eater.
I think Porsche and VW actually had an agreement with Devin cars to supply parts , which they later cancelled. Some of the "D" cars actually left the factory with Porsche industrial engines. The parts stoppage brought the Devin D to a halt. Two hundres cars, and that is the most of any model made by Devin. There are about 15 Devin SS's in the world and I believe they can bring well over a hundred grand. Pete |

Pete, I just talked to the lady who has your old phone number, she told me to stop leaving messages. Call me, just bought a racecar. It's a 1970 factory 914-6 that was properly converted to GT trim. 2.5L, 2000lbs... would love to see your Devin. I guess the therapy isn't working! Jon
