Oil Temp Sending Unit?

Hi folks,

I am going to replace the sender and the guage. Where is the sender unit located on the engine and is it difficult to replace?

Thanks,

Greg

the sending unit is at the front drivers side corner of the engine. it's a round plate held on by 2 screws/bolts and should have a green&black wire coming from it. best to replace when you're doing an oil change as you'll loose all the oil when removing the cover.

This is a pretty easy job (I know -- famous last words...). The green/black wire passes up thru the center tunnel where you can access it for the center console and/or continues up to the dash for the combo gauge (fuel/oil temp/idiot lights) if you have one. Be sure your new gauge and sender are matched for each other.

...also those bolts are threaded into aluminium so use light torque and new copper crush washers.
