So, one last post from me on this subject; I probably should have simply shut up a long time ago but cannot seem to do that in a timely manner...

I am sorry if you and Jared had a bad deal go down. I did make an effort (a small one, granted) at helping resolve it, but it seems to be beyond my powers.

Your analogy of your situation and that of others in this thread is flawed. If Jay acted as people in that thread have stated, he was acting as the business Partworks and there is specific recourse available against that business. If Jared acted as you have stated in this thread, he was acting as a private individual and not speaking for/acting as the entity Pelican Parts.

You obviously feel that Jared's use of his Pelican email address automagically means that Pelican must make good on his own personal dealings. I do not think that is legally (nor morally) correct.

If you want Pelican's official stance on this situation, you will need to talk to Wayne. He is the boss-man; the buck stops with him. Phone him; he literally gets thousands of emails every day and it is sadly easy for individual messages to get lost in the clutter.

I am done with this discussion; you can continue it if you like but I will not reply.

you can believe your version of the truth Dave, I KNOW what happend there. I posted this here because it seemed to me to be the "allowed " thing to do. What do you propose I do? this is principal, what is good for the goose, is good for the pelican isn't it?

You have had 3 offers of the part...I will add the fourth if I can find one in my stuff...I would even ship it to you free.....Wayne will answer in his time, but he doesn't sit on the computer like we do...he has a business to run. I defy you to email most any business owner and get a reply the same day. He needs time to investigate and that assumes that Jared still works for him.

The better question to ask would be if Jared still is employed. If not, there is not much that PP could do.

Relax....$80 is not a world killer and most of us have been ripped for that amount or more. This doesn't make it any more palatible, but it's done...take a breath and see what comes of it.

This has got to be a joke, right? I mean I know it is not April 1, but still. Tell me this is not for real.

Pelican did not rip you off.

Hi there Nick. Sorry to hear about your bad experience with Jared. This thread was first brought to my attention about 10 minutes ago. I had not read any emails regarding it previously.

To set the record straight, as of several weeks ago, Jared no longer works for Pelican Parts. Jared apparently sold these parts using his pelicanparts.com account, against company policy. One reason why he hasn't been answering your emails is because his email account here has been suspended. He was also on a leave of absence for most of November, December, and the early part of January.

In general, Jared is a straight guy, but he can be disorganized at times. I don't think it's his intention to rip you off - he may not even have your contact information anymore, as he does not have access to his email here.

I do have contact phone numbers for him - I will PM you them offline. I would suggest that you contact him directly at these numbers. You might also want to send him a PM through the board.

-Wayne

just a few words that come to mind in reading this. Yeah you was wronged dude that part seems obvious but certainly not by Pelican. Did you issue a money order to Pelican Parts? No. You are dealing with an individual who was not representing Pelican in this transaction.

seems your problem is solved anyway by several people trying to right a wrong and to get you to chill-out.
how should I take that from a guy saying"you was wronged dude" and you dare say I am uneducated

thorshammer offered a logical aproach though legal channels to solving the issue. Wayne offered a plausable reason for non-response and another solution for contact with J. others have offered to solve teh parts you need issue, all for free. I continue to read in awe. I want to meet you some day...really. I suggest you divert your extensive energies spent here to persuing some of the solutions offered by these board members. you guys are great and have helped me solve so many car issues

It should be over, but I bet it's not!

Wayne sent you a PM with Jared's phone number. Call Jared. I don't think Pelican is going to do anything for you. And I don't think you should expect them to.
