The annual Long Island Meet . Who`s Coming ??

Well it wont be annual till we have a second one . This will be the first if you guy`s want to do it . I just bought a new home in Mt Sinai . Its on the far north shore (on the long island sound) just minutes from the Port Jefferson/Bridgeport ferry . I have a large grassy flat open field that we can have our own little car show on . We can have open beers and burgers cooking . I think I can arrange a great day for us this spring/summer . I would like to start arranging this soon . Please send me your name, phone #, and where you are located to my email so I can make a list .
If we can make something of this we can do it at least once a year . It will have to be on a sunday due to my business hours .
I can surely use some input on this and help to arrange it . Please keep in mind this is an invitation only meet . I dont know a person on this board who is not welcome however my property(the field) will fit no more than 150 cars so ...... But then I would be overly impressed if we can get even 50 of us together for the first year . This could be a great day for all us east coasters to meet each other .
This picture below was taken on my field this past september. Its not the greatest shot but its all I have right now . The field goes back about 100 ft behind the camera (camera is on a 4 inch tripod) .
Also maybe someone would like to figure out how many can fit ? The size (im guessing) is about 175`x 80` . I dont want to run out of room .

Guys, this post has been running for a few weeks in the 911 forum . I would love to see some 914 cars come out too. There is no date set yet but talk of early june is being considered . Guy`s the Long Island meet is on for this Sunday(tommorow), June 12th (rain or shine)
. Looks like we will be having great weather. I would like everyone to try
to arrive between 10:00am and 11:00am . A little earlier is not a problem as
I might need some help anyway . I will have a porta potti and lots of space
to park. I will not be setting up tables for food but if you would like to
feel free to bring along something to eat or share .
Im looking into reserving a seating for 40-60+ guests at one of our local
restaurants . I think bbqing for that many guests would to be too much for
me to handle while trying to enjoy the day . I will have a tub of ice for
drinks though .
Drinking of alcohol is fully permitted since its private property . However
lets keep it safe, this is a car oriented event and some children will be
present.
Please remember to respect my nieghbors in regards to engine revving and
shouting . We will be taking a 2-3 mile road trip to our local beach a few
hours into the event. You can then release all the noise and aggression you
wish .
I dont have an ending time for the meet but figure we will break it up
around 5-6pm if not earlier . Some guys are traveling quite a distance and
will likely be leaving sooner .
Note that my property(called Crystal Brook Park) has 2 driveways . One is on
top of the hill and one is at the bottom . The lower gate is where you will
need to enter . Please DO NOT ENTER THE UPPER GATE. I will park one of my
Porsche cars at the lower gate for easy identification . Just drive through
the gate and the field is directly on your left . You wont miss it .
Someone will direct you where to park .
Also Please do not make a swap meet out of this event . I firmly told my
neighbors there will be no parts selling or trading . I dont mind if a few
item`s are exchanged but it must be kept a secret (I dont even want to know)
. Some of my neighbors will be there with their own porsches and I dont want
to get caught. Maintaining a good relationship with your neighbors within a
private community is not easy . I live around quite a few stuck up pricks
that would love nothing more than to make trouble for me .

The crossroad to Shady path is Old Post Rd. Also if all else fails the meet
is located directly on the south side of Mt Sinai harbor so just keep going
north till you hit the drink.

carriers are useless.
