yet one more fog light question!
I need clarification of the recent fog light discussion, just so I don't burn up the ride.
Stock foglights are 35 watts. Got it. If I wanted to use 55w H3's, I'd need different foglamp housings or an adapter for the H3 lamp, but no need to worry, just use them with the original wiring, fuse and switches? If I wanted 100W H'3s, I'd need to install a relay, heavier gauge wiring and fusing, as well as the lamps? Is my understanding right? Thanks as always. |

The H3 adaptor is made by Rich Johnson a914guy@aol.com. It does not require any modification of the lenses or reflectors, or anything at all in the light. Except for the power supply wire, which must come out of the barrel-type fitting it is screwed into, and an insulated spade lug must be crimped on. That's it--the rest is simply plug and play. The change is quite reversible if you decide to go back to stock, except that you'll have to cut off the spade lug and strip off a little more wire to have it fit back in the barrel connector.
