The original boots are NLA. I have some new style boots being delivered next week, but they are different than the original but stronger, and unfortunately, expensive.
I also may have some of the original style, dependant on which ones you need, the 2 pole boots are HTF in good condition. Which sizes do you need? |

I had wanted to find new boots for my 1.7L. The diameters for the 1.7 and the 2.0 are slightly different. A suggestion I had been given was to go to your FLAPS and find radiator hose of similar (perhaps even slightly smaller) diameter and cut to fit.
Seems like it would work, but I haven't tried it yet. Motor On! ------------------ Herb '72 1.7 Tangerine 'Teen '74 2.0 Red Rustmobile |

Which boots are you talking about? The "manifold boots", between the intake runner pipes and the plenum, are different sizes on the 1.7 and 2.0 . The injector seals are the same between the two. The rubber boots on the electrical connectors are the same between the two.
As for the electrical boots, they may still be available from your friendly neighborhood Volvo dealer. > The part number for the injector boot (Volvo) is somewhere > in this mess of numbers, I read them all off to the parts > guy and he got what he needed: 1st line - 943693, 2nd line - > 2331, 3rd line - 31. --DD |

Sorry, don't have any 2 pole injector boots right now, just a few 3, 4 and 5 pole. Let us know if you find the boots at the Volvo dealer or elsewhere.

I went to my friendly neighborhood Volvo dealer today and gave the parts guy the numbers Dave posted. The first number is the part number for the injector electrical connection boot that I need so I ordered a set. I used to work in the parts dept. of
that very dealership 22 years ago and the parts manager who hired was still there! So, I got a discount and they will cost me about $5.00 each. Thanks Dave! |
