Leaking Injection Pump
I have a '71 914-6 conversion with a '71 911E 2.2 with mechanical fuel injection. I have the motor out for re-sealing purposes(oil leaks). I have noticed some oil dripping out of the back of pump. Specifically out of a hole that has a plastic cover over it. I looked in the manual to determine what this is. The only reference made to this was, removing the cover, screwing a bolt into the hole and moving the rack to determine if it is good. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone know anyone good to work on this pumps? Thank you in advance.

It sounds like the rubber plug is a inspection cover not a oil seal. I would assume that if oil is leaking out of said cover, that an internal seal or O-ring is leaking. It may be time to have your pump resealed/rebuilt $$$.
