Which wrench to use?

What size wrench are you SUPPOSED to use when removing the steel brake lines? 10mm is too small and 12mm is too big. I ended up using a 7/16 and didn't round off the nuts too badly. 11mm doesn't seem to be correct size either? Unless the cheap 12mm brake line wrench I bought is a sloppy fit to begin with. 3 more wheels to go.

I put Penetrating oil on there and let it sit for a while. RR upper end had to go in from above the tin, removing drain hose from rain tray. Can't remember size, thought they were 10 on one side, 12 on the other. You may not have the right lines on there, check the new rubber ones you are putting on, if you are putting new on, which I would recommend, since it is a PITA to remove those things.

I use an 11MM flare nut wrench I bought at a CarQuest store. The brand name on it is Blackhawk. Worked like a charm.

11MM !!!! Nothing else on the car is 11 MM. Well no wonder 10 was too small and 12 was a bit big. Looks like I'm off to buy the right flare nut wrench.

Front torsion bar adjusters are 11mm

Well the 11 MM wrench didn't do much good. Got the line off the back of the caliper but the one at the bottom of the strut I manged to round off and the one at the back of the wheel well is stuck on pretty good as well. I could feel the wrench starting to turn around the nut.
Any suggestions on how to loosen these up? I think brake fluid is flammable, so the propane torch is out. Have sprayed PB Blaster on them about 6 times with no luck. The one at the strut is probably destroyed. Don't want to screw up the other one. HELP!!!! please.

Use something like AeroKroil penetrant and a quality vice-grip. You may destroy the fitting, but sounds like it might be time for new brake lines anyway. Do not rely on cheap line wrenches. They flex too much. MAC or Snap-On are you best choices. Expensive, but worth it.
