Question 16 x 6 inch fuchs on 914?

Can you stuff some 16 x 6 inch fuchs on a 914 (no flares)? I know that I will need to convert to 5 lug. I have also noticed that the 15 x 6 inch fuchs are worth their weight in gold. Just wanted to see if someone had done this.

Thanks,

Yes, many 16x6es will fit. I don't know if all of them will (e.g., 944 Turbo vs. 911), but at least some of them do.

Yes, and there is only one offset on a 6X16s, I'm going to 7X16s on my 76, have done it on other cars in the past with no problems.

Believe it or not we just tried for the fun of it putting my new ROTA fox 17" 7.5 front and 9" rears with 215 front and 255 rear tires on a factory 914-6. The darn things would maybe actually work. With rolled rear fenders and a very accurate adjustment to the camber to move them in just a bit at the top rear and you have pimp wheels like you can't imagine. The fronts appear to fit fine just the way they are. The best solution for a setup like the ROTAs would be to tweek the rear fenders just a little bit to give clearance. You could definately get 4 7.5" ROTAs and fit them easily on the 914-6.
We had no problem getting my 7" and 8" ROH wheels under the car. For auto-x we are going to run 7&8X15 fuchs with 205-50-15 and 225-45-15 hoosiers. Keep in mind the 205 hoosiers are actually 225mm and the 225 hoosiers are 255mm.
