Alternator Swapping??

Hey Everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has successfully swapped out the Bosch stock alternator with a new style alternator with regulator system? I am interested in everyone's opinion about my query.

I put an ultra mini one in my race car. Took some fabrication for a bracket. Worked OK and was single wire hook up.

FYI - you can swap alternator without pulling engine. Just need to remove the forward engine tin. Good luck with the swap.
