what comes first!
I have a painting question!
When the time comes to get my car painted....is it better to have the car painted apart,or assembled to make sure of full coverage. I would like to paint the interior as well...under both hoods. Just looking for suggestions from past experiences. Thanks to all that help. |

As a general rule I think most body shops will remove the doors, hood and rear trunk lid to do a proper paint job. At least that's what my paint guy did with mine.

When I had mine painted...I had stripped out the interior..removed all lights, glass and seals etc. That made it easy for the body shop to strip/sand/primer etc the body. When they did the final paint they removed the doors, hood, trunk, mirrors (I have 911 flag mirrors), valences, headlight lids etc and painted those separate from the car.
