ok how to not feel guilty sawzalling a 914?

I have #840, completely rusted out, both longs you can look through to the hell hole, and the front of the pan where the pedals are is completely gone.
Can't summon the courage to pull out the sawzall to her.

Please add the VIN to the data base at 914world.com

If the car is not a special one (-6 or LE) let the saws all rip! I have one like that I'm cutting up. I did sell the 5 lug set up first.

This poor car has had a rough life. The engine was seized when I bought it, nothing salvageable but the case and trans. It has been parted out to where it's just a tub with suspension, wiring, and powerplant. I could use the body parts for my 71...

Ha it's a VW!!!!

Invite some other 914 folks over. Make a party of it.

If there are good parts, save them. Better yet if you can get people to ask for the parts ahead of time, so you know exactly what not to cut up. That way you can rationalize that the rotted car is sacrificing itself so that other 914s may live...

Pull the wiring harness. Some of that wiring will come in handy if you need to repair something in another car and want to use the same color scheme. (makes troubleshooting much easier years from now.

Cut it up. Could use the knee pad of that early car if you still got it.
