Headlight problem
Here is a good one for You. I belive I already know what the problem is. But I haven't tore into it yet. My 73 has developed a problem I have never seen before. With the headlights on sometimes if You move the steering wheel a little the lights will go from bright to dim. By there self. If You push on the wheel it can cause the same thing. Some times all You seem to have to do is act like You are going for the dimmer switch and they will change. Has anyone ever seen this before? I think that My dimmer switch has gone bad. But why would moving the steering wheel affect the dimmer? I thought it might be the bushings/Bearings in the steering colum. But it does not feel loose. It might even be a ground. Any ideas? Thanks

Similar thing happend to me. It turned out that the multi-pin connectors on the bottom of the steering column were loose. Don't know why it effected the lights, but I pushed them tight and no problem since then!
