Missing Tach at Hershey
My friend was selling a 930 tach with boost gauge at hershey this weekend. A guy inquired about it and asked us if it will fit a 914 because he was working on a 914 turbo project. we said it would fit and told him he can take it with him to try out on a 914 to check and come back to see if he wants it. The guy NEVER came back. I dont want to accuse him, maybe he forgot our booth. If you guys know of anyone who fits this sitation let me know,
Thank you Paul M |

Sorry to hear about your forgetful buyer...
![]() BTW, the 911 and 930 tachs fit the 914 just fine. Some do not get any reading at all from the points-and-condensor ignition on our cars, but many (most?) do. The problem is that they are designed for six-cylinder cars and therefore read 2/3 of the actual RPM. You have to get them re-calibrated. A VDO shop should be able to do this without a whole lot of fuss. Not sure on the cost, though. --DD
