center console for a 72

Does anyone know if the center console was an option on the 72's or did they start in 73. I know the wiring is not there for it. Has anyone ever hooked one up to a 72', I can't figure out how to hook up the lights on the console, the wires on the 72 don't really match any wires on the console.

Scott,

The center console with gages came out in 1973.
There was a deposit box available - not sure if it was just for the 6ers though - the deposit box had no gauges. Sorry can help you out with the wiring.
