Hey guys, tell me if this is a good price on this '74 914, @ www.hcrpca.org under the classified ads. It's the first car for sale, Orange 914. Does it look good or what?

Is it worth it to you?
Paint looks good, but most do until closer inspection. The Empi wheels and ugly aftermarket side mirrors are a turn-off for me. But that's just my taste. I prefer to see original Mahle's or Fuchs on "restored" cars. The leather interior sounds nice! Have a mechanic check the car out. Check the quality of the paint job. Is their overspray? Did they repaint the trunks and engine compartment properly? Ask for receipts. Check for rust. Check for bondo? Check for oil leaks. Drive the car. How does it shift? If all is in order, a good price would be between $4K and $4.5K. He has lots of goodies with the car. You may be able to sell them and raise another grand or so in sales and reduce the cost even more. Then it would definitely be a good deal.
