Grommets
Before I destroy too many of these rotten old things.......what do ya do for new ones? I'm talking about ones for the wiring harness (in the engine compartment.....) ones for the fuel lines (again the engine compartment......) etc......
BTW.....I came across a VERY THIN black tube that comes out of the firewall near the clutch/throttle/speedo/ cables. It seemed that it ran up through the engine tray/shelf....don't know where it went as the DAPO had all this stuff torn loose.......anybody got an idea what it is for? Seems to have a vaguely gas / solvent type smell to it...... Thanks.

Should be two of them, FI supply and fuel return to the gas tank. There is also a very small plastic line that is for the charcoal cannister. See the hose diagrams located on this site.

Curious. Generally the "one small line through the center tunnel" style of charcoal cannister venting only comes on mid-74 and later cars.
I think the grommets are available through us. At least, some of them should be. Call the sales guys or tom@pelicanparts.com and ask. --DD
