Windshield Installation Question

I am in the process of installing the windshield and using the 914 Rubber Gasket versus the original chrome boarder. It's been suggested to paint a 1" boarder around the inside of the glass to hide the 3M butyl tape that sticks the glass to the window frame. Normal rattle can paint won't stick to the glass good enough. What kind of paint should I use for this? A two part epoxy paint? thanks

I believe there is specific windshield primer that is recommended. You can Google for it. Also check with the 914rubber guys, they are friendly and super service oriented!
