Check out Okta. https://www.okta.com/
We use Okta at Zoom and so does most of my customers. We also used them when I was at Cisco Systems until they bought DUO.

maybe we should allow Andy time to restore the site before recommending changes or asking for updates.

We didn't use it when I worked at Cisco. That was about a decade ago.

I already suggested DUO to Andy for the multi-factor authentication. And I have experience with it from my work. Once the site is back up, we will look at stuff like that.

I was at Cisco from 2005-2020. I was a Collaboration CSE there. Now i'm at Zoom doing the same thing. Cisco bought DUO before I left and we all had to use it. From a user standpoint, DUO and Okta work the same, but I have only played with the SCIM and SAML mapping features with Okta.

I too struggle to fathom what gain or pleasure these hacker arseholes derive from taking down sites like this.

Once restored, I would be happy to help out should want to migrate to a more current platform like Xenforo. I migrated the Amphicar forums to Xenforo several years ago. Knock on wood. I now have it decently secure against the arseholes and, more importantly, configured so that I have multiple paths ro restore quickly in event of an incident like this.

As others have stated. Big thanks to Andy. Most people have no clue regarding the effort and commitment involved in running a forum.

I wonder who the 4 other people besides SirAndy are that were banished. If we knew who had a beef with those 5 people, that might lead us to the perp.

Thanks, Andy, as always for your amazing contributions. We appreciate you!

Yup - but I was thinking it's not in neutral - it's just like most of our 914's...doing some time on jack stands. I'm confident it'll be back even better after Sir Andy fixes the website hell hole!

We’ll said! I echo the sentiments and thanks!

Thank you Andy!

I am thankful to all that have made 914world so painful to be without!

Quick update, i'm down to ~2000 threads that are still orphaned.

Luckily, most of those belong into the Garage which means i'll be able to sort those out pretty quickly.

I'm guessing i'll be left with about 100 threads that still need to find a home again by the end of the day.

Getting closer, 1188 topics left to sort out.

I'm going to take a break for a bit, been at it since 7:30am.
