Any pictures with flares only on rear?
Does anyone have a car or know of pictures of a 914 with the fender flares only on the rear of the car, leaving the front stock. I will be ready to paint in a couple months and may want to go this route. Not a big fan of the front flares but I love the look of the rear ones. Reminds me of my old 911 widebody.
Thanks, Jason

It’s a good look. I’ve been wanting to do one for a few years now.

Here's mine. Rear flares added by PO (looks like 911 SC). Body currently contains my 911 7 and 9" Fuchs (205/55 and 245/45-16).

I love the look. I will definitely be adding the rear fender extenders. I am going jet black as well. No chrome.

I personally like/prefer the look of the early-70s Ginther E Production SCCA racers. Somewhat similar to the above, Ginther tastefully bulged the rear fenders to encompass bigger rear meats while leaving the front alone.
That's what I'd do for an engine in the 150-190 whp or so range. |

Sounds like the flares that Rich Bontempi at High Performance House makes?

There was a SF PCA guy with a ratty old 914 with flares on the rear. He also had a Carerra GT, and could really drive. Not sure what happened to the 914
