WTB: fresh/recently rebuilt 'higher performance' 4-cyl

I'm considering purchasing a fresh or fairly recently rebuilt 4-cyl TIV engine for my '72 914. (The other option being: rebuild it myself.)

I'm looking for a 'higher' performance street engine with a displacement of at least 1.8 (and hopefully 2.0-2.2) with an 'aggressive' cam and carbs.

Offers of short blocks and long blocks are welcome. Thanks!
