never thought i would sell it... 914 for sale

for sale. 1974 914 1.8 1500.00
miles unknown. i purchased it form a kid in venice california around 98. i used to hastle tom from pelican(when he was at ottos) for discount parts. drove the car to ny from la when i moved. stored the car at my parents for a year and then moved back to sunny ca. i was going to do a 914-6 project. i started purchasing 911 motors, suspensions, seats,.... anyway i decided that i would never see a penny back or maybe a penny on the project if i ever sold it. so i went out and bought a 73 911.now i an doing a 911 rs project. i would prefer to sell the car locally because i dont have the time to e-mail thousands of pics and i dont want to get involved in shipping a car. thanks

the car:
-74 california car with all factory options exept for 2.0 motor.i believe i am the 3rd owner but dont quote me on that.car was purchased at rusnak porsche. i have the owners manual
-front suspension is brand new (911 control arms) with welt miester bushings and 19mm tortion bars and turbo tierod ends
-polished 2.0 fuchs
-momo stering wheel
-new rubber
-ss heat exchangers with new bursch exhaust
-clutch is 4-5k miles with new flywheel
-sony cd player(model is 6 years old)
-car has the usual rust by the battery and a small amount of rust by under the relay board in the corner
-paint on a scale of 1-10 is a 5(for my taste anyway)
-interior needs redoing
-runs hot after about 45 mins of driving. could be a bad valve
-911 master needs replacing(i think)
-floor pan, trunks, and under carriage are rust free
-all electrical works(lights, wipers, etc...)
-i have a box full of misc. stuff

i would prefer buyer to come by and check out car before they purchase so they know exactly what they are purchasing. again i dont want to sell it but i havent touched the car in 2 years and lost the enthusiasm with the project.maybe you guys can finish it! thanks!

thanks. it is stock. its called aubortine(eggplant). it was a very rare color from what i understand. at night it looks almost black. it took a while to get used to it but it is a period correct color.

I hope so... that car was to nice to let out of the community...

purchased in ca. sold in ca. i dont know if buyer wants to be mentioned, but i will ask. heres what she looked like before she went into storage 2 years ago.
