Due do underwhelming responce, I am reposting this car at greatly reduced price.
I've got to get rid of this soon. If it is not gone in the next week or so, I'm taking it to a wrecking yard. 1974 914 2.0 with VW 2.0 engine and tranny, original FI. Yellow I picked this car up as a project, but have never gotten to finishing it. It has 5 mahle alloys in good condition, but need cleaned. I have 916 style glass flares, for 9 inch front tires, and 11 inch rears. The flares are not mounted. The left side tire openings have been trimmed for clearance by the DPO. The right side has not had flares mounted. There is a 916 style front bumper on it. There is no rear bumper. The interior has been partly stripped, there is no back pad or carpet and the seats are showing foam. The engine seems to have good compression, but it idles at 3k RPM, and leaves oil puddles. I tried to start it the other day, and it would not. It needs a new seat belt relay thingy I think. Whaddya want for $350? There is rust along the longitudinal members, but there is no body sag. The battery tray looks good. The glass is fine. The car comes with 4 to 5 lug adapters, and a dual radiator fan from an RX7 that will work for an oil cooler fan, and 924 turbo front brakes that are best used as doorstops. $350 obo I'm in Hillsboro OR Here are some pics for you. The flares are off the car now. They came off in one piece, so they will be easy to put back on again. The 916 bumper fits correctly now, it was loose in the pics. Rear Left Rear Right Front Left Interior Closer pic of rear flare Thanks all Hillsboro OR sean@coho.net |

Hi Pat, Iv'e been watching this one but you live to far away and all I wanted was the engine, but I just noticed you mentioned "VW"
Is it a true 914 or a bus motor? Thanks for looking, Steve ------------------ 1967 912 "in progress" |

This is a VW bus motor, with the original porsche heads (or so I've been told).

Too far away for me, I'm in DC. Some nice parts on that though...could get more than $350 if you parted it! The nice temp combo gauge, wheels, targa top and engine lid. Alas, too far away.
