Brake fluid in reservoir catch cap

What would cause fluid to bleed into the reservoir catch cap? Everytime I gas up I need to sop up the fluid in the catch cap. Is it suppose to bleed that much brake fluid into the catch cap or is the reservoir cap shot? Anyone every experience this type of problem?

The only time this is suppose to happen is in the situation where the reservoir iitself contains too much fluid already and so when the brakes are applied all of the fluid within the calipers is sent back to an already full resvervoir, which would then overflow into the reservoir catch cap. If none of this applies, then I think that you may have water in the line which is boiling to the surface and leaking out the cap. Change the fluid and only fill the reservoir about 3/4 full to allow for returning fluid.
