Almost new 009 Dizzy w/ extra cap/rotor, make offer

Make reasonable offer + shipping - perfect condition, only 1700 mile on it. No points or condensor, but 2 caps and 2 rotors, one set BN never run. I ran it in my carb'd 1.7 with a pointless ignition, and it worked fine. I put in a 2056 and a 050 dist and now I don't need it anymore - I'm sure someone out there could make use of it.

(Oh yeah, I've heard all the "Prop open a window with it" and "See how far you can throw it" jokes, whaw-haaww)

Cheers
Jeff

Scooter,

I have wrestled with that question myself. If you do a little research on the STF you'll see that the T4 guru, Raby himself, prefers the 009 over the 050 but the Mallory over both. I know this topic has been beaten to a bloody mangled pulp, but you might want to look over that info and/or try the 009 in your new motor. I think, off the top of my head, that Jake says 12 degress initial and 30 full is optimum. That's different than what a lot of us talk about on here, but you might want to try it especially if you have access to a dyno for some side by side comparo. Good luck one way or the other.
