902-16 transmission 6:29 R&P
A suggestion was made to post this here. As posted in the 911 board:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?postid=2465917#post2465917 This is a good transmission the only thing it seems to need is a first gear synchro ( it grinds downshifting into first), Otherwise no odd whines or noises. The number on the case is 902-16, which makes it a 912 transmission, mag case, shorter than normal gears. It was mated to a 2.2S motor. The gears are A,GA,O,U,Z ; 4th and 5th are shorter than the normal 901 transmissions. This would make it nice for the track. I just looked it up and this chart http://forums.pelicanparts.com/show...gear+AND+ratios shows R&P to be a 6:29 ratio. Just to make it clear, I have not opened up this transmission to verify gears. I am going by the number stamped on the bottom of the transmission. $500 Pickup preferred. Located in central CT. edbogue@yahoo.com
