local parts, midatlantic?
i just picked up a 71 914.
i'm putting everything back together and i'm realizing i'm a little short on hardware; screws, bolts etc. and if i'm not short on it, its too rusty to use again. i'm planning on just going to home depot, but i was also wondering if anyone knew of some pick-n-pulls around MD/DC, maybe even PA or VA, that have 914s? Vogt's had 4 914s at one time, and were right near my mothers house, but now they're out of business. i'm asking ahead before i start making a million phone calls. |

depending on the hardware you need, i'd just go to local hardware store, whatever brand it is (lowes, home depot, ace,...) and get metric hardware. go to the bug-out in manassas VA on memorial day weekend (sunday) and you can pick up some new hardware and some used hardware. you might want to "make-do" with what you can find because it could get expensive to get new OEM hardware.
