Here is the guys auction. HE IS A SCAMMER WATCH OUT!!

I flew from AZ to Orange county to pick up this car. His name is Karl.

He said the car runs absolutely fine. HE IS A LIER. He took my $150 deposit and will not return it, even though I DID not buy the car.

I arrived at the airport. He knew my arrival time on friday, this was monday three days later. He made me wait at the airport because he did not want me coming to his home. 3.5 hours wait time at the airport.

The problems with car.
1. not a true 5 lugs conversion . Spacer conversion! (ALL four tires RUB wheelwells!!)
2. bad rear tires, huge cracks in them.
3. Shakes like you never heard of unless you go 80.Which i wasnt about to do driving all the way back to az with bad tires on rear!
4. 25 + parts missing on car.
5. weatherstripping in Both trunks missing
6. Roof has a big chunk missing out of the drivers side corner(no way to repair, new one needed)
7. All bare areas of car for typical rust areas are painted over in black spray paint. (obviously to hide rust areas, i found many including in the battery box location. HOLE UNDERNEATH!!)
8. RUNs LIKE CRAP!!! (cannot even hold idle without violently shaking)
9. Dual carbs are not new webers, linkage isnt even tied down, parts missing off passenger carb!
10. no visors, either one.
11. gastank strap bolt missing, (why??)
12. Did i meansion ALL four tires Rub while driving???
13. no stick shift ball
14. No heater (just straight rusted headers w/stripped off cores)
15. radio doesnt work, no speakers.
16. NO CENTER Back pad between seats( jerry rigged material over bare metal in back)
17. NO COMPUTER in Back engine compartment anymore!!!
18. turn signals dont work
19. Normal Bright light headlights dont work(only work in high beams mode)
20. missing side signals
21. No underneath roll bar pad! (expensive part)
22. no coat hooks
23. seats ripped in places
24. engine smokes from carbs and breather (since there are no hoses in between...i dont know why you wouldnt put these on)


So heres the deal. I spent $110 for a flight there, waited 3.5 hours for him, just enough time so i couldnt catch a flight back. Had to get a hotel last minute to catch the next flight at 6am the next morning (hotel $75) Morning flight $another $110. AND THIS GUY KEPT MY DEPOSIT $150. Because he misrepresented his OWN AD!!

Please Help 914 owners out everywhere, please POST THIS AD AND DO NOT BUY THIS CAR.

This is my only recourse i could think of, since we ended the auction early with ebay so there is no record of me. (I think that is his way of getting multiple peoples deposits--SCAMMER!!!!!!!)

that is why before I fly to seattle to pick up a 911 it is having a PPI done at a place of MY CHOOSING" . A lot cheaper than flying etc. There are lotsa guys out there doing that crap. They figure you go thru all that hassle so you do not want to leave without the car.
I had a car PPIed recently and it turned out to be a dud. The guy wanted $13k and eventually it went on ebay for a fraction. For $125 I saved myself a lot of hassle. Post on PEL to find a shop in the town where car is located.
