FS: 2.2 L Engine
For Sale: 2.2 L Engine from my 914-6.
I recently upgraded to a 3.2 L and still have the original # matching 2.0 L. When I bought the car 6 years ago,I had John Forbes at Black Forest Racing in Del Ray Beach Fl build this engine for me. daraho@swcp.com or 505-890-3357 The engine has the S-pistons and E-cams.He also put a set of PMO 40's on.It has covered about 12,000 miles since then. I added a MSD CD ignition and a Bosch S distributer with a Crane optical trigger and a rev limiting roter (7100 RPM). I also added Fire Braid wires and turbo valve covers(exaust). After the engine was broken in,I switched to synthetic oil and changed it every 1500 miles. Not necessary, but oil is cheap. Originally,John installed S-cams.I shipped the car from New Mexico to John and had him install E-cams.Much better low end power. The engine pulls strong to its 7100 RPM redline and with the PMO's sounds brutal. The PMO's were "freshened recently at a cost of $750.00. They originally cost $3,000.00. Asking $7000.00 OBO .A leak down will be done this week. Last edited by drh9146; 06-07-2007 at 06:06 AM.. |
