Sold! Going to a nice man in the Midwest ...
![]() --------------- Well, it was a hard decision – but I’ve had my fun – and it’s time to share it with another 914 nut! I’m selling my ‘cream puff’ … interviewing potential owners! Like the previous owner, who had meticulously done the ground-up restoration on this 1974 914 2L, I’d like to know this wonderful car is going to a good home. I spent many years looking at project cars that needed body work, and those that looked good from 50 feet, then 20 feet, etc. This one caught my eye and I had to have it! Hoping to find someone with the same enthusiasm, garage space and willingness to show-off at Porsche PCA shows! ![]() Notes: Fully dismantled and restored. All components inspected, rebuilt if possible and or replaced with new. Some standard rust was apparent on the car and was repaired by removal of bad material, grit blasting surrounding areas and welding in new material. All reworked areas were sprayed with cold galvanic primer prior to painting the car in its original color using Glasurit paint. Fully documented. Toolkit, spare tire, jack, manuals, original and new original keys (including the ‘red’ key). ![]() ![]() ![]() Cared for and garaged always. Never ever caught in the rain (I think I’ve only actually washed it 3 times!). Turns heads and gets tons of attention at car shows! Thanks go to the previous owner, a member of many Porsche forums like this, for doing such a great job in keeping it so original! This little car is among friends, we've had over 11 Porsche in like 5 years ... currently "down" to 3 ... just need to make room in the garage for more fun stuff ... http://www.sandeeland.com/photos/carpix/ Will be posting additional links to supporting documentation soon, details to follow! Email me or call with questions. 1974 914 2L Marathon Blue Metallic / Appearance package Mileage: 88,260 (~ 800 mile driven in two years) Asking: $13,500 (201) 254-7550 Remember, nice people only!

Re: Very nice car / appearance group
Thanks for the comments! Yes, nice car - I've been driving it more now that it's for sale ... a real pleasure, what a head turner! Hey, I spoke to the previous owner, who did the restore - he mentioned that the bumpers were black - and he had another car, also with the appearance package, black bumpers. So maybe they did it both ways in '74. There may have been a mid-year change, who knows with Porsche! ![]()
