FS 914 1.8 balanced crank, lighten flywheel
I bought a racecar last fall. The engine was out due to low compression on cylinder #3. I took the motor to 914LTD (Brad Mayeur’s shop) and with his help took the engine apart. The #3 cylinder and piston is scored. We found no metal shavings in the oil. The car was built by Aircooled racing and according to them the engine was done by Les Handley. I have yet to speak with Les to get the details of the engine. I can tell you that by looking at the attached pictures, that the past owner Mike Liebmann (RIP) spent lot of time and $$ building the motor.
I am parting this motor out. See my other ads. FS - is the counter balanced crank and very lighten flywheel. The crank and fly wheel come as a set since they are pinned. This is out of a 1.8 racing engine, not something you would use for the street I would assume. The rods will come with it also. Asking $500 plus shipping ![]() ![]() ![]()
