Question/search: 914/6 stub axles
Hi all:
Have a problem putting parts together and getting conflicting info. QUESTION: Do authentic 914-6 stub axles have 4 bolts and two pins with 28 splines. I had what was represented as 914-6 stub axles but they have 6 bolt and 28 spline shaft. My shop said that is from later car and that seems to be correct. Having said that I NEED one or two 914-6 stub axles (4 bolt two pin) 28 spline. Also need to know value of 4 cly stub axle (36 spline) Thanks in advance for the input . All the best Terry

Try Ottos 310-399-3221. He should have them. Also Mittlemotor in Germany has them.

stub axles
For those who be looking I checked with Ottos...He is out .
I did get a good clarification from him and another solid source. The 914-6 stub axle is 28 spline/4 bolt /2 pin and mounts to 4 cylinder CV joint. It has over all flange diameter of roughly 3 5/8" ..........People are selling early 911 (69-73) which is close but flange 4 3/8" and bolt pattern will NOT match. Oh and thanks to the guys that are out there selling the wrong stuff as 914-6....Fortunately not a Pelican. Anyone want a set of nice 69-73 stubs....Make offer but be kind. Thanks Terry
