914-6 GT Factory Calipers

We have placed for sale on Ebay our set of 914-6 GT calipers. These calipers have just been remanufactured by pmbperformance. PMBPerformance has stated that they comfortable certifying that these are very early factory GT calipers. Based on their experience there were many little things that make the difference when identifying the factory units and these had them all. Below is a link to the ebay sale. If you are looking at this you probably know that a set like this may not be available again for quite some time. Get a piece of history now......

The above calipers have been relisted on ebay. We have removed the foreign bidders restriction as at least one person tried to bid but was denied. They will sell this time around as offers have alread been made. They were relisted to comply with ebay rules.

Do an ebay search for 914-6 GT calipers.

PS: "dfink", is not my intention to 'hijack' your thread but since you sold your GT rear calipers, I simply wanted to let others know I have a similar set. "dfink", do you have any other 914-6 GT parts for sale?

No problem with the post but please keep the following in mind. The set that just sold was a very early set likely used to support one of the original 12 cars. The set you present in the picture are a later conversion. This is indicated by the spacers. The early calipers used "M" spacers which worked but did not fit well. Later special spacers were produced that better followed the outline of the caliper. There are likely other less obvious differences. Please note however these simply indicate some history with the calipers. The will both function for the intended purpose.
And yes we also have a set of early/early "S" front calipers that are correct for the Factory GT. We will also likely have additional set of restored GT rear calipers. This set however nearly identical to the set that just sold is not from the original batch. The casting are from 3 and 4 and we just had them converted. They were however converted by PMBPerforance and they do an outstanding job in replicating the originals. I would expect these to sell for less than the $1800 that the "Factory" set brought. Remember there were only 12 original factory cars. And I believe 24 dealer conversions with factory parts. Everything would be a 3rd party conversion.

Since you mentioned that you will likely have additional set of restored GT rear calipers, I don't feel right about 'butting-in" like this, I had NO idea you had intentions of selling more pairs, there is no need for me to do this, as you know, there are way too many other places I can advertize my parts. I do very much appreciate your courtesy in allowing me to leave my post and that is very nice of you. I wouldn’t like it if I was in your shoes…

Anyone wanting another set of 914-6 GT rear calipers, please continue to contact the originator of this thread. Fair is fair. ; )

We are not sure at this point if we want to sell the second set or keep them so your post is not out of order. Also GT calipers are rare enough most would not have two sets. No problems from me good luck.....
