I have seen compete (but not having run for long time) posted for between 1000 to 1500. Had always watched because I have one that is for my car that has been out for about 17 years. Seems its value is whatever that part would be worth bcause unless it is matched by numbers it has no great worth IMHO.

I have sold 2 914-6 cases, one for $400 4 years ago and a complete longblock (no carbs, exhaust, shrouding, etc) for $1000 to a very well know mid engine conversion specialist.
I think a 914-6 case is only worth what a case is worth. Not many people looking for one of those cases. So many original -6s out there with the wrong motor and happy owners, lets face it a 110hp 914-6 motor is a dog  Totally different story if you match it with the right car.
