Parting out 2056 and other Type 4 stuff
I've decided to pull my 2056 from my Super Beetle and part it out. I built the engine about 5 years ago and had oil pressure problems from the beginning and could never really drive it. After trying everything, I'm convinced that it is a bad pressure relief in the GA case. Bellow is a list of parts:

There was a little bit of wear on the rod bearings, but everything looks to be in good condition.

I just listed the 2.0 heads on E bay and the rest will soon follow Most of the my stuff has sold, but I still have
2.0 914 heads (2) 2.0 Rods with oil grooves that have been re-bushed (excellent condition) 2.0 Rods Stock 93 mm dished Pistons and Cylinders Oetinger rods for 66mm crank 22mm pin 26mm full flow o ringed oil pump. Mellings Oil pump 914 Oil cooler (Pressure tested) VW IRS Trans axle, rebuilt (close ratio 1st, 2nd and 3rd. 4th is a highway gear.) |
