Thanks for the lead. I found the website, but I can't get the email to go through. It keeps telling me that it is undeliverable.

yeah I tried to and mine bounced also. this is the email I spoke with him at before though. your best bet would be to hit the 993 forum at www.rennlist.org and post something looking for him. he used to hang out there often, and others know him.

Brumos Porsche can still get them. Talk to Robert Kennedy, the parts manager.

Seems like I read a post a while back about steel flares. Mittlemotor I think in Germany bought the old Porsche dyes for the steel flares. They are producing them & selling them for $800 for the complete set. If I remember the post correctly. These came to lite in the post of the gentleman who was buiding some in his shop. Forget his call sign here on the BBS. He was a racer & has been racing motorcycles for years. He is working on his 914 track car. Anyway hope you can find the post. I'm pretty sure a guy gave testimonial of the flares he just got from Mittlemotor. Seems like even the shipping wasn't that bad. Hope I remember all this stuff right. If I get some time i'll try to track the post down
