FS: 5 Lug Conversion - Front Strut Set Plus
If you are looking for something a little more than a common 911 front suspension swap and would like great brakes, this may be something to consider. I can complete this suspension package to match your project needs.
The front struts are Boge Carrera take-offs. Both have been factory jig checked for straightness. ![]() The bracket for the pad-sensor has been removed and they were stripped and powder coated. The hubs were completely disassembled, cleaned, media blasted and sealed with VHT clear. They have new bearings, races and seals and are mated to German Sport Carrera rotors. ![]() The calipers are Brembo four piston monoblocks. These are Boxster calipers and today's technology from Porsche. The calipers pictured below are rebuilt used calipers. I do have good used calipers and can source new calipers at very reasonable prices. ![]() ![]() Pad sizes are the same as a 930 and these monoblock calipers work very well with our non-boosted 914 brake systems with 19mm or larger master cylinders. ![]() You can match the front Brembos with a rear solution as well. ![]() An eBrake solution is available if needed. ![]() ![]() ![]() Both front and rear Porsche/Brembo calipers mount with adapters. I've been building this setup for street and race 914s for almost 15 years and it's safe and proven. ![]() I like working with builders and can help with some or all of the work needed to complete a suspension package based on these components. Let me know if I can help. Rich a914guy@aol.com 214-796-2895 Cell '71 914-6 3.0l Conversion |

Used Boxster Brembo Calipers
Take off calipers from dismantelers run about $125 each for fronts and $100 each for rears. You can sometimes find singles for less on eBay. I've bought good sets for a little as $300. Shop around... They clean up easily and rarely need new seals or pistons.
When you are looking at the calipers make sure you check the hard fluid crossover line, piston seals (4) and bleeder caps (2) for signs of damage. ![]() Last edited by A914Guy; 06-09-2014 at 05:58 PM.. |
