No Integrity Nine One Four
Made an agreement with "Glenn @ "Porsche Nine One Four 914" in LA. I'm in Norcal. Talked to him on the phone about a early chrome front bumper with tits for my 914 and he said he had one. He described it over the phone and I asked a couple of questions which he answered. He said he would email me some pics of the bumper the following day, Wed 1/20 and I would let him know right away if I wanted to buy it. I had a couple of more questions and called him this morning. He told me he sold the bumper yesterday and felt NO obligation to notify me that he had sold it. He also said he didn't know me so why should he trust me and didn't see any need to call me or send me an email. This person is running ads that rely on trust. Beware.

Try renagade hybrids in Vegas. They had some newly chromed bumpers a couple months ago at a great price. As far as nine one four, I have seen there post on Craigslist. First thing that scared me was there location "Compton" then there pics of cars offered 4 sale look like they are in someone's backyard. Not a good business model.

Money talks, On more than one occasion on these forums people have said they wanted an item I'm selling only to disappear and I pass up other sales on the first persons word. My thought is first one with the money wins the sales.
Sorry you feel wronged, but if it's a hot commodity you have act quick.

He who asks questions loses to he who provides cash.
Happens on here all the time and is understandable.

Well i guess the old adage that money talks and BS walks. Please reread my original post again as I'm trying alert people to sketchy sellers. If someone contacted me to buy something the following day and I sold it out from under them I would give them courtesy contact that the items are sold. If this is out of line I'm sorry for people who only think of the money. If you have a Websters look up integrity and honesty. You don't know what you've bought till you get it. Digital images a notoriously misleading to look at. It seems a lot of people got their knickers bunched up about the purchase. My main reason was to give people a heads up on Glenn at Nine One Four in Compton.
REMEMBER, ALL ON LINE PURCHASES ARE BASED ON TRUST! |

No ones "knickers are bunched up". Your assertion was that he had no integrity basically because you were asking him questions about an item and someone else paid him cash. In the used parts business that's kind of how it works.
Now, the location and condition of his business is a completely different aspect.

No integrity I'd if if you receive something that is not as described and the seller doesn't make it right. If this happens then you can post you complaint.

I am sorry, frankieC, but with complete respect to you, you're on the wrong track here. There's no connection between nine one four's "integrity and honesty" and your argument. What you did happens a lot, and you are COMPLETELY entitled to ask all of the questions you need to ask.
But the item is for sale, and i'm sorry, but the fact that you have more questions doesn't mean the seller has to wait for you to decide. I like it when buyers ask questions. I have sold things to guys who didn't ask questions and then they wanted their money back. I want them to be happy with what they bought. I've also had buyers ask a series of questions and then just disappear. They are under no obligation to buy just because they asked questions, and there are a lot of guys with more questions than money (I am sorry to say). And I have asked questions, myself, about an item and it was sold while I was asking questions. The seller was under no obligation to wait for me to decide. As others have said, cash is king. I mean no disrespect to you in saying that your multiple allegations questioning the seller's "integrity and honesty" really were kind of out of bounds in this case. Again, I mean you no disrespect. It just didn't work out this time. Please don't be disrespectful to the seller. |

I've known Glen for years, his a stand up guy. When you say I'll take it, and the seller accepts
you got a deal. Gene Selger
